Instructions
- Prepare the Tofu: Cut the tofu into four equal pieces and set aside.
- Fry the Tofu: Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Coat the tofu pieces with the bumbu flour, ensuring they are well covered. Carefully place them in the hot oil, frying without flipping until they turn golden brown. Once one side is cooked, gently turn them over and fry the other side until equally golden. Remove from the pan and drain excess oil.
- Make the Sauce: In a bowl, take the salted egg yolks and mash them, then mix in the water to create a smooth consistency.
- Sauté Aromatics: In the same pan, add the chopped garlic and sliced red chilis. Sauté until fragrant. Then, add the mashed salted egg yolk mixture and cook until it thickens, stirring occasionally.
- Combine and Serve: Once the sauce is ready, add the fried tofu to the pan, gently tossing to coat. Arrange the tofu on a serving plate, drizzle with any remaining sauce, and enjoy!
