TBT Tahu Bejek Telor Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium-sized pieces of white tofu
  • 1 egg
  • 8 mixed chili peppers (adjust to taste)
  • 3 shallots
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Salt and seasoning to taste
  • Cooking oil

Instructions:

  1. Begin by crushing the tofu into small chunks. The texture should be coarse, not too smooth. Mix the crushed tofu with the egg until well combined.

  2. Heat 3 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the tofu and egg mixture to the pan. Fry until the tofu is golden and crispy, ensuring it doesn’t absorb too much oil. Remove and set aside.

  3. Next, prepare the spice mixture. Finely chop the chili peppers, shallots, and garlic.

  4. In the same pan, add a bit more oil if necessary, and sauté the chopped spices until fragrant and translucent.

  5. Return the fried tofu and egg mixture to the pan with the sautéed spices. Stir well to combine, allowing the flavors to meld together. Season with salt and additional seasoning to taste.

  6. Adjust the seasoning as needed and cook for a few more minutes.
