Crispy Fried Tuna (Tuna Goreng Krispy)

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Tuna fillet (bones removed) 250 grams
All-purpose flour 5 tablespoons
Rice flour 2 tablespoons
Egg 1
Ground coriander 1 teaspoon
Salt 1 teaspoon
Ground black pepper A pinch
Cooking oil As needed for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mixture: In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, rice flour, ground coriander, salt, and ground black pepper, mixing well.

  2. Create Batters: Divide the mixture into two portions: one for dry coating and the other for the wet batter. For the wet batter, whisk the egg with a little water until well combined, ensuring it’s not too runny.

  3. Tenderize the Tuna: Gently pound the tuna fillet with a meat mallet or rolling pin until it’s flattened and tender.

  4. Heat the Oil: In a frying pan, heat a generous amount of cooking oil over medium heat.

  5. Coat the Tuna: Dip the flattened tuna fillet into the wet batter, ensuring it’s fully coated. Then, roll it in the dry mixture, pressing down slightly to ensure an even coating.

  6. Fry to Perfection: Carefully place the coated tuna in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.

  7. Serve and Enjoy: Once cooked, remove the tuna from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot and enjoy your crispy fried tuna!

This dish is perfect as a delightful snack or a main course, bringing crispy texture and rich flavor to your dining table. Enjoy!
