Siomay Goreng Ikan Tuna

Ingredients

  • 250 grams tuna fish (finely minced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely minced)
  • 1 egg
  • Homemade spring roll wrappers (can substitute with Finna brand)
  • 5-6 tablespoons tapioca flour
  • Ground black pepper (to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Royco beef seasoning (or other beef seasoning)
  • 2 drops oyster sauce
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the finely minced tuna with the egg, chopped green onions, minced garlic, salt, ground black pepper, Royco seasoning, and oyster sauce. Mix thoroughly until well incorporated.

  2. Gradually add the tapioca flour to the mixture, adjusting the amount until you achieve a desirable consistency. Taste the mixture and adjust the seasoning as necessary.

  3. Prepare the spring roll wrappers by cutting them into quarters or diagonally into halves. Place a spoonful of the tuna mixture onto each wrapper.

  4. Carefully fold the wrappers around the filling, ensuring they are securely closed. Heat a generous amount of oil in a pan over medium heat.

  5. Fry the siomay until golden brown and cooked through, ensuring they are evenly cooked on all sides.

  6. Once cooked, remove the siomay from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite sambal or dipping sauce for a delightful treat.
