Preheat the Oven
Begin by preheating your oven to 200°C (390°F) with a muffin tray inside. Pour 140g of vegetable oil into each section of the tray, making sure it is evenly distributed. Allow the oil to heat up in the oven for about 15 minutes. -
Prepare the Batter
While the oil is heating, crack the eggs into a mixing bowl and add the whole milk. Season with salt and pepper. Whisk the mixture by hand until it is well combined. Gradually add the 200g of all-purpose flour and whisk until you achieve a smooth batter. -
Pour the Batter
After the 15 minutes have passed, carefully remove the muffin tray from the oven. Be very cautious as the oil will be extremely hot. Pour the batter into the muffin tray, filling each compartment up to halfway. -
Bake to Perfection
Quickly return the tray to the oven and bake for approximately 30 minutes. Do not open the oven during the cooking process, as this may cause the puddings to collapse. The Yorkshire puddings will puff up beautifully and turn a golden brown. -
Serve and Enjoy
Once they are cooked to perfection, remove the Yorkshire puddings from the oven. They will be delightfully puffy and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Serve them immediately as a perfect accompaniment to your meal.
These Yorkshire puddings make a fantastic side dish to any roast dinner, offering a crispy, airy texture that pairs wonderfully with rich gravies and meats. Enjoy them as part of a classic British meal, or get creative and serve them alongside other hearty dishes for a truly satisfying experience.
