Description

QUICK & EASY is my motto after a long day at the office yet wanting to cook a “meal”. This is a great money-saving dish that, although everyone teases about tuna casserole, I never have any left over. Prep time is to open the cans, cooking time is to boil the pasta, and then simmer time.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of tuna in water
  • 1 can of mushrooms
  • 1 box of shell pasta
  • 1 cup of milk (adjust to desired consistency)
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste (optional)
  • Crushed potato chips for topping (optional)
  • Peas or carrots for additional flavor (optional)

Instructions

Step Instruction
1 Cook pasta as directed, then drain.
2 Drain tuna and add it to a large pot along with the canned soup and mushrooms. Stir to combine.
3 Add milk to achieve the desired consistency, ranging anywhere from 1/2 to 1 cup.
4 Season with black pepper to taste. You can also add a bit of salt, but be cautious if you tend to add too much.
5 Let the mixture simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6 Serve hot, optionally topped with a small amount of crushed potato chips for added crunch.
7 For extra flavor and nutrition, consider adding peas or carrots according to your preference.
