Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the margarine, graham cracker crumbs, unsweetened coconut, sweetened coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract. Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined, creating a sticky mixture.

  2. Press into the Pan: Transfer this mixture into an ungreased 9 x 9-inch baking pan. Using your hands or a spatula, firmly press the mixture down evenly across the bottom of the pan to form a solid base layer.

  3. Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the pan in the oven and bake for approximately 10 minutes. This step will help set the base and enhance the flavors.

  4. Prepare the Icing: While the base is baking, break up the chocolate bars into smaller chunks and place them in a microwave-safe bowl. Add the oil to the bowl. Microwave the mixture for 1 minute, or until the chocolate is melted. Be sure to check it at 30-second intervals to avoid overheating.

  5. Spread the Icing: Once melted, carefully stir the chocolate and oil mixture until smooth. After removing the base from the oven, let it cool slightly before spreading the chocolate icing evenly over the top of the baked mixture.
