Naughty, in the BEST possible way!!!! πŸ˜‹ I usually like to let all cake batters rest for 10 minutes (in the baking pans) before they go into the oven–I find that they rise up nicer.

Ingredients:

Quantity Ingredient
2 cups Flour
1 3/4 cups Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 – 1 tsp Baking soda
1 Egg
1 cup Buttermilk
2/3 cup Coffee, hot
1 cup Butter, melted
1 cup Milk
6 tbsp Sugar, for frosting
1/2 cup Peanuts, chopped
1 cup Chocolate chips
3/4 cup Cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups Caramel sauce

Instructions:

  1. CAKE:

    • Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
    • Grease and flour 3 9″ round cake pans.
    • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
    • In another bowl, whisk together the egg, oil, and buttermilk until well combined.
    • Slowly pour in the hot coffee, mixing as you pour, until fully incorporated into the batter.
    • Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans.

    • Top with the final cake layer and cover the entire cake with the remaining frosting.
