Ingredients:

Quantity Ingredient
2/3 cup Butter
2/3 cup Margarine
2/3 cup Sugar
1 cup Light brown sugar
2 Bananas
2 cups Flour
1/2 tsp Baking powder
6 oz Chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Cream first three ingredients together: In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, margarine, and sugar. Cream them together until smooth and well incorporated.

  2. Mix in bananas: Peel the bananas and mash them using a fork or potato masher. Add the mashed bananas to the creamed mixture and stir until evenly combined.

  3. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, light brown sugar, baking powder, and salt until well mixed.

  4. Incorporate dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until a thick batter forms.

  5. Stir in chocolate chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

  6. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).

  7. Prepare baking pan: Grease and flour a 10×5 inch jelly roll pan to prevent sticking.

  8. Spread batter: Transfer the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.

  9. Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  10. Cool and slice: Allow the Choco-Banana Squares to cool in the pan for a few minutes before slicing them into squares or bars. Serve and enjoy!

These Choco-Banana Squares are best enjoyed fresh, but can also be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days. Enjoy them as a delicious treat any time of day, whether as a snack or dessert!
