Ingredients:

Butter 1 1/4 cups

Pecans 2 cups

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 13×9 baking pan and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan over low heat, combine caramels and evaporated milk. Stir until the caramels melt, then cover to keep warm and set aside.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, blend the German chocolate cake mix, water, melted butter, and eggs until well combined.

  16. Sprinkle the toasted pecans over the chocolate layer.
