Recipe Instructions:
Pie Crust:
- Prepare Pie Crust: Make as you would for any single crust pie, adding sugar and chocolate chips into the flour mixture before adding water.
- Press Into Pan: Dump the crust mixture into a pie pan and, using a fork or damp fingers, press it evenly into the pan.
- Prick with Fork: Prick the crust with a fork all over.
- Bake: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake the crust until it’s lightly golden and done.
- Cool: Allow the crust to cool completely.
Filling:
- Combine Ingredients: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, heavy cream, and marshmallows. Stir constantly until melted and well blended. Be careful not to scorch the mixture; turn down the heat once it starts to melt.
- Cool: Allow the chocolate mixture to cool completely.
- Fold in Cool Whip: Once cooled, fold in the Cool Whip gently until fully incorporated.
- Pour into Crust: Pour the filling into the cooled pie shell.
- Refrigerate: Refrigerate the pie for at least 3 hours (overnight is best) until it sets.
- Serve: To serve, top the pie with more Cool Whip.
Enjoy your slice of paradise! 🌴🥧
