Ingredients:

For the Torte:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 oz water
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions:

  3. In a saucepan, melt 3 oz of chocolate in water over low heat, stirring until smooth. Allow to cool.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs until frothy, then gradually add the sugar, beating until the mixture is thick.
  5. Slowly stir in half of the flour, followed by the melted chocolate, remaining flour, hazelnuts, and vanilla extract.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for approximately 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool for a few minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely. Once cooled, cut the torte into two layers.

For the Buttercream Filling:
