3 Cream cheese
1 Cup sugar
3 Tablespoons flour
1 Teaspoon vanilla
1 Teaspoon almond extract
5 Eggs
1 Cup sour cream
1 Tablespoon flour
3/4 Cup sugar
1/4 Teaspoon salt
1/8 Cup melted chocolate chips

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Prepare Crust: In a small bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix well until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  3. Add Chocolate: Stir in 2 tablespoons of melted chocolate chips into the crumb mixture, reserving the remaining chocolate for later.

  4. Press Crust: Press the crumb mixture firmly onto the bottom of a springform pan.

  5. Bake Crust: Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and reduce the temperature to 325°F (160°C).

  6. Prepare Filling: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar until light and fluffy.

  8. Add Eggs: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, just until blended.

  9. Incorporate Sour Cream: Stir in the sour cream until smooth.

  10. Prepare Chocolate Filling: Remove 1 1/2 cups of the cream cheese filling and place it in a small bowl. Stir in the melted chocolate until evenly distributed.

  11. Layer Filling: Pour half of the plain cream cheese filling into the prepared crust. Top with 8 spoonfuls of the chocolate filling mixture.

  12. Repeat Layers: Pour the remaining plain cream cheese filling over the chocolate layer. Drizzle the remaining chocolate filling on top.

  13. Create Marble Effect: Use a table knife to gently swirl the filling layers together, creating a marble effect.

  14. Water Bath: Place the springform pan in a larger pan, then pour boiling water into the larger pan until it reaches halfway up the sides of the springform pan.

  15. Bake Cheesecake: Bake the cheesecake in the water bath for 1 to 1 1/4 hours, or until the center is set. The temperature should be 325°F (160°C).

  16. Cooling: Allow the cheesecake to cool in the oven for 10 minutes, then run a knife around the edge of the pan to loosen it.

  17. Chill: Remove the sides of the springform pan and allow the cheesecake to cool completely on a wire rack. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 8 hours before serving.
