This Turtle Cheesecake recipe, a finalist in the 2001 Nestle Toll House Share the Very Best recipe contest, is a decadent delight submitted by Audra Burtch of Chandler, Arizona. Perfect for any occasion, this family favorite features a luscious marbled cheesecake topped with a heavenly combination of pecans, chocolate morsels, and caramel and chocolate syrups.

Ingredients:

Quantity Ingredient
1 3/4 cups Chocolate graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup Butter
3 tablespoons Margarine
3 packages Cream cheese
1 can (14 ounces) Sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
3 large Eggs
1 tablespoon Lime juice
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
2 cups Chocolate morsels
1/2 cup Pecans
1/4 cup Mini chocolate morsels

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
  2. Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Combine chocolate graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a medium bowl.
  4. Press the mixture onto the bottom and 1 inch up the sides of the prepared pan.
  5. In a large mixer bowl, beat cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
  6. Add granulated sugar, eggs, lime juice, and vanilla extract; beat until well combined.
  7. Microwave chocolate morsels in a medium, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute; stir until melted.
  8. Stir 2 cups of cheesecake batter into the melted chocolate morsels until well mixed.
  9. Alternately spoon yellow and chocolate batters into the crust, beginning and ending with the yellow batter.
  10. Bake for 1 hour 10 to 15 minutes or until the edge is set and the center moves slightly.
  11. Cool in the pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes; run a knife around the edge of the cheesecake.
  12. Cool completely, then drizzle Nesquik and caramel syrup over the cheesecake.
  13. Sprinkle with pecans and mini chocolate morsels.
  14. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
  15. Remove the side of the pan before serving.
