Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 (12-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (12-ounce) package milk chocolate chips
  • 1 (7-ounce) jar marshmallow cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 13×9-inch baking pan and set it aside.

  2. Melt Chocolate: In a saucepan over low heat, melt 1 cup of butter and the chocolate until smooth. Remove from heat.

  3. Combine Ingredients: Stir in 4 cups of sugar and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract until well blended. Beat in the eggs one at a time.

  4. Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture, stirring until well combined.

  5. Add Nuts (Optional): If desired, stir in the chopped walnuts until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

  6. Bake Brownies: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top of the brownies springs back lightly when touched. Be careful not to overbake.

  7. Make Topping: While the brownies are baking, prepare the fudge topping. In a heavy saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar, evaporated milk, and 1/2 cup of butter. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

  8. Add Chocolate and Marshmallow Cream: Remove the mixture from heat and stir in the semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips, marshmallow cream, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Beat the mixture until smooth.

  9. Spread Topping: Once the brownies are done baking, remove them from the oven and spread the fudge topping evenly over the warm brownies.

  10. Chill and Serve: Place the pan of brownies in the freezer until the topping is firm. Once set, use a knife that has been run under hot water to cut the brownies into squares. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for maximum freshness.

Enjoy the indulgent delight of Mile High Fudge-Topped Brownies, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth cravings any time of day! 🍫🍽️
