Ingredients:
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup mashed sweet potatoes
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Grease two 9″ round cake pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat cake mix with eggs, melted butter, and 1 cup water at low speed for 30 seconds.
- Increase speed to medium and beat for 2 minutes.
- Reduce speed to low and beat in cooked mashed sweet potatoes and chocolate chips until well combined.
- Divide batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.
- Cool the cakes on a wire rack for 15 minutes before removing them from the pans.
- Once completely cooled, frost the cakes with your desired frosting.
