Preparation Instructions

Step Description
1. Begin by boiling the potato and sweet potato until they are tender. Once cooked, peel and dice them into bite-sized pieces and set them aside.
2. Next, prepare the fruits by peeling and dicing the apple, bananas, and pineapple, ensuring they are ready to use. Keep the fruits aside in a separate bowl.
3. Heat a tablespoon of ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat. Add the diced potato and sweet potato to the pan and roast until they develop a golden-brown crust, stirring occasionally to ensure even roasting. Once done, remove from heat and set aside.
4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the roasted potatoes, diced apple, banana, pineapple, and sprinkle in the anardana powder. Add the finely chopped green chili, coriander leaves, chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt to taste.
5. Squeeze in the fresh lemon juice and gently toss all the ingredients together until they are evenly coated with spices and seasoning. Adjust salt and spice levels to taste, if needed.
6. Serve the Delhi Style Fruit Chaat immediately to enjoy the fresh flavors and textures. This chaat pairs beautifully with other North Indian street foods like Pav Bhaji, Dahi Vada, or Pani Puri and can be concluded with a sweet dessert like Paneer Kheer.

Enjoy this delightful and refreshing chaat as a snack or appetizer, capturing the essence of Delhi’s vibrant street food culture in each flavorful bite!
