Instructions

  1. Begin by melting the butter in a saucepan over low heat, allowing it to become beautifully liquid.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the remaining ingredients, stirring until you achieve a smooth, consistent batter.
  3. Using a spoon, drop small circles of batter onto greased baking sheets, ensuring each is spaced about 6 cm apart to allow for spreading during baking.
  4. Preheat your oven to 325°F (190°C) and bake the wafers for approximately 5 minutes or until they turn a lovely golden hue.
  5. Once baked, allow them to cool on the tray until they are just stiff enough to be handled, then carefully remove them using a palette knife.
  6. Finally, transfer the wafers to a wire rack to cool completely, where they will become crisp and delicious.
