Tuna Sandwich Recipe
Ingredients
- 6 slices of bread (toasted or plain, as preferred)
- 6 tablespoons canned tuna
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato, sliced
- Mayonnaise, to taste
- Thousand Island dressing, to taste (optional)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper (or white pepper, if preferred)

Sauté the Onion: In a pan, heat a little oil over medium heat and add the finely chopped onion. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant.

Combine with Tuna: Add the canned tuna to the pan with the sautéed onions. Season with salt and black pepper, stirring well to combine. Cook for a few minutes until heated through.

Prepare the Bread: Take the slices of bread and spread a generous layer of mayonnaise on one side of each slice.

Assemble the Sandwich: On the mayonnaise-coated side of the first slice, layer a portion of the tuna mixture, followed by slices of tomato and fresh lettuce. Place another slice of bread on top, mayonnaise side down, and repeat the layering process. Finish with a final slice of bread on top.
