Smoked Bacon 12 slices
Peas (fresh or frozen) 200g

Instructions:

  1. Boil the Eggs: Begin by placing the eggs in a small saucepan and covering them with water. Bring to a boil, then let simmer for 10 minutes until fully cooked. Once done, remove the eggs, let them cool, and peel them. Set aside.

  2. Cook the Bacon: While the eggs are boiling, heat a pan over medium heat. Cook the smoked bacon slices until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Once crispy, remove from the pan and set aside to cool. Then, chop the bacon into small pieces.

  3. Prepare the Peas: If using frozen peas, cook them in boiling water for about 2-3 minutes, then drain and set aside to cool.

  4. Slice the Cheese and Vegetables: Slice the cheddar cheese into strips. Cut the tomatoes into thin slices and set aside. Cut the black olives in half and set aside. Tear the lettuce into smaller pieces if necessary.

  5. Assemble the Salad: In a large, round serving bowl (approximately 20 cm in diameter), begin layering the ingredients. Start with the tomato slices as the first layer. Follow with a layer of black olives, then add the lettuce leaves as the third layer. Continue with the peas, bacon pieces, and finally the cheddar cheese slices.

  6. Top with Eggs: Once all the other layers are assembled, top the salad with the boiled eggs, cut into quarters. Arrange them neatly on top of the layers.

  7. Dress and Serve: Drizzle the salad with extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of salt, and a splash of vinegar. Toss gently or leave it layered for a visually appealing presentation. Serve and enjoy!
