Sayur Tahu Bumbu Kuning

Ingredients

Quail eggs 10
Long beans To taste
Salt 1 tablespoon
Garlic 3 cloves
Shallots 3 cloves
Curly red chili 2
Galangal 1 piece
Turmeric 1 piece
Lemongrass 1 stalk
Bay leaves 2
Kaffir lime leaves 2
Kara coconut milk 1 small package
Salt, pepper, palm sugar, and flavoring To taste

Instructions

  1. Begin by blending the garlic, shallots, red chili, turmeric, kaffir lime leaves, and salt until smooth. Adjust to your preference regarding the texture of the kaffir lime leaves.
  2. Lightly crush the galangal, lemongrass, and bay leaves, then combine them with the blended spices.
  3. Heat a suitable amount of cooking oil in a pan, and sauté the spice mixture until fragrant and golden brown.
  4. Add the tofu, gently stirring to coat, followed by the quail eggs. Continue to sauté for a few moments.
  5. Pour in the Kara coconut milk along with sufficient water to achieve your desired consistency; ensure it is not too dry.
  6. Introduce the long beans, cooking until they are just tender. Then, add palm sugar and flavoring to taste.
  7. Adjust the seasoning as necessary, and your Sayur Tahu Bumbu Kuning is ready to be served.
