Oyong Telor (Ong Choy with Egg)
Ingredients:
- 2 pieces of oyong (also known as ridge gourd or angled luffa)
- 1 egg
- Red curly chili peppers (cabai kriting merah), to taste
- 1 small onion
- Ground black pepper, to taste
- Salt, to taste
Instructions:

Begin by filling a pot with enough water to cover the ingredients. Season the water with ground black pepper and salt to taste.

Add thinly sliced onion and red curly chili peppers to the pot. Allow the mixture to come to a gentle simmer.

Crack the egg into the simmering water and let it cook until it is partially set.

While the egg is cooking, peel and slice the oyong into thin strips.

Once the egg is partially cooked, gently add the oyong slices to the pot.

Stir the ingredients carefully to ensure even cooking. Continue cooking until the oyong is tender and the egg is fully set.
