Ingredients:

  • 2 Whole Eggs
  • 1/2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 4 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1/2 Tomato, chopped
  • 1 Green Chilli, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon Chaat Masala Powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon Cumin powder (Jeera)
  • 2 tablespoon Coriander (Dhania) Leaves, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • 4 tablespoon Mozzarella cheese, grated

Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, 1 egg, and a little oil. Mix well. Gradually add water and knead the dough until it is smooth. Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.

  2. Prepare the Egg Filling: In another bowl, beat the 2 eggs thoroughly. Add chopped onion, green chilli, tomato, red chilli powder, cumin powder, chaat masala, coriander leaves, and salt. Mix everything well.

  3. Shape the Paratha: Apply a bit of ghee or oil to the dough and knead again to smooth it out. Divide the dough into 6-7 equal-sized balls. Take one ball, dust it with dry flour, and roll it out with a rolling pin into a flat circle.

  4. Fold and Roll: Brush some ghee or oil over the rolled-out dough. Fold the dough from both sides towards the center. Apply ghee or oil again and fold both ends to form a square. Dust with dry flour and roll it out again to retain the square shape.

  5. Cook the Paratha: Heat a griddle or tawa on low flame. Place the rolled-out paratha on the griddle and cook for a minute or two. Then, add the egg mixture in the center of the paratha, sprinkle mozzarella cheese over it, and fold the paratha from both sides to seal the filling. Repeat the process for the remaining parathas.

  6. Fry the Paratha: Fry the stuffed paratha on both sides with ghee or oil until golden brown and crispy.

  7. Serve: Serve the Egg Lifafa Paratha hot with Dhaniya Pudina Chutney, Tomato Chutney, or any chutney of your choice.

Enjoy your delicious Egg Lifafa Paratha for breakfast or as a snack!
