Spicy Black Pepper Beef Delight

Ingredients

  • 250 grams beef, thinly sliced or diced
  • 1/2 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 large bell pepper, sliced
  • Black pepper beef seasoning (such as Pronas brand)
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 4 bird’s eye chilies
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Cornstarch (for thickening, optional)
  • Salt and sugar, to taste
  • 4 tablespoons cooking oil, for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef: Begin by slicing or dicing the beef into thin pieces. For a more tender texture, you may choose to briefly boil the beef until slightly softened.

  2. Slice the Vegetables: Thinly slice the onion and bell pepper. Finely chop the bird’s eye chilies and mince the garlic.

  3. Sauté Aromatics: Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped bird’s eye chilies, sautéing until fragrant.

  4. Cook the Beef: Add the beef to the pan along with a small amount of water. Allow it to cook for about 2 minutes. Then, incorporate the oyster sauce, stirring well.

  5. Season and Simmer: Sprinkle in half of the black pepper beef seasoning and mix thoroughly. Let the beef marinate in the seasoning for about 5 minutes. Add approximately 100 cc of water and, if desired, a teaspoon of cornstarch to thicken the sauce.

  6. Adjust Seasoning: Stir everything together and let it simmer for another 5 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and sugar if needed.

  7. Add Vegetables: Add the sliced onion and bell pepper to the pan. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the vegetables are just tender.

  8. Serve: Remove from heat and serve hot. Enjoy your Spicy Black Pepper Beef while it’s still warm!

This dish pairs wonderfully with steamed rice and is sure to bring a burst of flavor to your meal.
