My Homemade (Hot) Salsa Recipe 🌶️

Description:

This salsa recipe is a delicious recreation of the spicy salsa we used to enjoy at a local restaurant in Georgia. After many experiments, I’ve crafted a version that closely resembles the flavors of that beloved salsa. If you’re a fan of heat, feel free to adjust the spiciness to your liking. Despite the long list of ingredients, this salsa is surprisingly easy to make and always receives rave reviews whenever I serve it. Plus, the longer it simmers, the more intense the flavors become, making it perfect for gatherings or meal prep. Whether you opt for fresh or dried herbs, the taste will be equally delightful.

Black pepper 1 tsp
Lime juice 1/2 – 1 cup
Chili powder 1/2 – 1 tbsp
Fresh parsley 2-3 tbsp
Dried parsley flakes 2-3 tbsp

  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and let the salsa simmer, uncovered, for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  4. Once the salsa has thickened and the flavors have melded together, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool in the pan.
  5. Transfer the salsa to a non-metal container with a lid and refrigerate it until thoroughly chilled.
  6. Serve chilled and enjoy the spicy goodness!
  7. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator, where it will keep for about 2 weeks.
