Spicy Tongkol Delight (Tongkol Mercon)

Ingredients

  • 1 steamed mackerel tuna (tongkol)
  • 15 spicy chili peppers
  • 5 curly chili peppers
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 5 shallots

Steps

  1. Prepare the Tuna:

    • Fry the steamed mackerel tuna until it’s crispy on the outside.
    • Once fried, shred the tuna into small pieces and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Aromatics:

    • Finely slice the spicy chili peppers, curly chili peppers, garlic, and shallots.
  3. Cook the Dish:

    • In a hot pan, sauté the sliced aromatics until they become fragrant.
    • Add the shredded tuna to the pan and mix well.
    • Pour in a small amount of water, then season with salt, sugar, and Royco seasoning to taste.
    • Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  4. Serve and Enjoy:

    • Serve the Spicy Tongkol Delight while it’s still hot.
