Daging Sapi Lada Hitam (Black Pepper Beef)
Ingredients:
- 500 grams of sirloin beef, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into cubes
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into cubes
- 1 large onion, cut into cubes
- 10 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 1 cm of ginger, grated
- 4 tablespoons of ground black pepper (optional, can be adjusted)
- 1 teaspoon of cornstarch, dissolved in 2 tablespoons of water
- Salt and sugar, to taste
- 5 tablespoons of water
- Oil for sautéing
Marinade Ingredients:
- 3-4 tablespoons of oyster sauce
- 3 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
Instructions:

Marinate the Beef:
- Coat the thinly sliced beef with the marinade ingredients: oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
- Let the beef marinate for at least 1 hour to absorb all the flavors.

Sauté Aromatics:
- Heat a bit of oil in a wok or large pan over medium heat.
- Add the finely chopped garlic and grated ginger. Sauté until fragrant and slightly golden.

Cook the Beef:
- Add the marinated beef to the pan. Sauté until the beef is evenly browned.
- Pour in 5 tablespoons of water, cover the pan, and let it simmer for about 5 minutes to ensure the beef is tender.

Combine with Vegetables:
- Remove the lid, check if the seasoning needs to be adjusted by adding more soy sauce or oyster sauce if needed.
- Add the cubed bell peppers, onion, and ground black pepper. Mix well.

- Pour in the cornstarch mixture, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables evenly.
