Shrimp Linguine With Basil-Garlic Butter Recipe

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/2 pound linguine
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook Linguine: Cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. Prepare Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.

  3. Make Basil-Garlic Butter: In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add chopped basil and butter. Stir until butter is melted.

  4. Deglaze with Wine: Pour in white wine and bring to a boil. Allow it to simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly reduced and the alcohol evaporates.

  5. Combine Linguine and Shrimp: Add the cooked linguine and cooked shrimp back into the skillet with the basil-garlic butter sauce. Toss everything together gently until the linguine is well coated with the sauce.

  6. Serve: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

  7. Enjoy: Serve hot, accompanied by crusty bread, a green salad, and a glass of your favorite white wine for a delightful meal!

This Shrimp Linguine with Basil-Garlic Butter is a perfect choice for a quick and impressive dinner, whether you’re entertaining guests or enjoying a cozy meal for two. The fresh flavors of basil and garlic complement the succulent shrimp and delicate linguine perfectly, making every bite a delight.
