Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC). If you’re grilling, prepare your grill for medium-high heat.

  2. Prepare the Bacon Bed: Take a large piece of aluminum foil and lay two slices of bacon in an X pattern. Lay the snapper on top of the bacon and place the other two slices of bacon in an X pattern on top of the snapper.

  3. Season the Snapper: Melt the butter and pour it over the snapper. Add the sliced onion, bell pepper, and lemon on top of the snapper. Lay the fresh garlic cloves on top of the fish. Sprinkle with cayenne pepper, Cajun seasoning, and garlic powder. Finally, drizzle lemon juice over everything.

  4. Wrap and Cook: Seal the fish tightly in the foil, creating a packet. Place the packet on a baking pan and transfer it to the preheated oven. Cook for 40 minutes, or until the fish is flaky. Alternatively, if grilling, cook the packet on the grill for approximately 20-25 minutes, until the fish is cooked through.

  5. Serve: Carefully remove the snapper from the foil packet, being mindful of the hot steam. Discard any excess cooking juices. Serve with a slice of fresh lemon and your favorite sides. Consider pairing with a small dinner salad and a side of dirty rice with corn for a complete meal.

  6. Spice it Up: For those who like it spicier, serve with Tabasco sauce on the table to add an extra kick of heat.

Enjoy this Cajun Snapper dish bursting with flavor and aroma, a perfect blend of spice and freshness! ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐Ÿ‹
