Recipe Name: Sauteed Zucchini (Zucchine Trifolate)
Category: Side Dishes
Servings: 4
Ingredients:
Ingredient | Quantity |
---|---|
Zucchini | 800g |
Garlic | 2 cloves |
Fresh Parsley | 2 tablespoons |
Fine Salt | to taste |
Black Pepper | to taste |
Extra Virgin Olive Oil | 40g |
Instructions:
- Begin by thoroughly washing the zucchinis under cold water, removing the ends, and then pat them dry with a kitchen towel. Once dry, slice the zucchinis into thin rounds.
- Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves, then prepare the fresh parsley by chopping it into small pieces.
- Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and sauté until it turns golden and fragrant. Be careful not to burn it.
- Add the sliced zucchinis to the skillet, stirring them gently to coat with the oil and garlic mixture. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Cover the skillet with a lid and cook the zucchini for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure even cooking. The zucchinis should become tender and slightly caramelized.
- Once cooked, sprinkle the zucchini with the freshly chopped parsley, mixing it in to evenly distribute.
- Serve hot as a side dish to complement your main course.
Tips:
- For an extra layer of flavor, you can add a splash of lemon juice or a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese just before serving.
- If you prefer a softer texture, cook the zucchinis a bit longer, but be sure to stir occasionally to avoid burning.
- This dish pairs wonderfully with grilled meats or as part of a Mediterranean-style meal.
Enjoy your delicious and healthy Sauteed Zucchini!
