Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup onions, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 10-15 sprigs of fresh dill
- 1 bunch of fresh parsley leaves
- 1 bunch of coriander leaves
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon mint powder
- 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- Optional: additional salt to taste

Instructions:

Prepare the Ingredients:
- Start by chopping the onions and mincing the garlic cloves.
- Rinse the dill, parsley, and coriander leaves under cold water and pat them dry.

Cook the Beans:
- In a large pot, combine the crushed beans, chopped onions, minced garlic, dill, parsley, and coriander leaves.
- Add plenty of water to cover the ingredients.
- Place the pot over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 60-90 minutes, or until the beans are tender and well-cooked.

Blend the Mixture:
- Once the beans are cooked, either press them in a juice extractor or blend them in a blender until smooth.
- Pass the blended mixture through a fine wire sieve to remove any remaining solids.

Season and Simmer:
- Return the blended mixture to the pot.
- Add the cumin powder, mint powder, and salt (if desired) to the mixture.
- Stir well to combine.
- Continue to cook over low heat for an additional 7-10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Fry the Onions:
- While the bissara is simmering, thinly slice the remaining onions.
- In a separate pan, heat oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions to the hot oil and fry until they turn a golden brown color.
- Once fried, remove the onions from the oil and set them aside.

- Transfer the bissara to a shallow serving dish.
- Drizzle the strained oil from the fried onions over the top of the bissara.
- Decorate the dish with the fried onions for added flavor and texture.
