Ingredients:

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 1 cup cashews
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 inch ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 500g plain yogurt

Instructions:

Step Description
1 Heat oil in a wok over medium heat.
2 Meanwhile, trim the edges of the bread slices.
3 Prepare the filling by mixing cashews, raisins, ginger, green chilies, cilantro, and cumin powder in a dish. Set aside.
4 Dip the bread slices in milk, then remove and gently squeeze out excess milk.
5 Place the prepared filling on 4 slices of bread and cover each with another bread slice to make 4 sets.
6 Squeeze out any excess milk from the assembled sets.
7 Fry the sets in hot oil until they turn golden brown on both sides.
8 Once fried, remove the sets from the oil and drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
9 Arrange the fried bread slices in a serving bowl.
10 Pour beaten curd over the bread slices generously.
11 Garnish with a sprinkle of red chili powder and fresh cilantro.
12 Serve immediately and enjoy the delectable Bread Dahi Bhale!
