Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder.
    • Cut in the shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs, similar to pie crust.
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and vinegar.
    • Gradually add the egg mixture to the flour mixture, stirring until the flour is moistened and holds together like a pie crust.
    • Chill the dough for about an hour for easier handling.
  2. Prepare the Filling:

    • Peel and thinly slice the raw potatoes, onions, and carrot.
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
