Step | Description |
---|---|
| In a small bowl, beat the egg together with the fish sauce until well combined. Set aside for later. |
| Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat, then add a bit of oil and the minced garlic. Stir-fry until the garlic becomes fragrant and slightly browned. |
| Once the garlic is browned, remove and discard it from the wok. |
| Add the sliced cabbage to the wok and stir-fry for about 2 minutes, allowing it to wilt slightly. |
| Pour in 2 tablespoons of water, cover the wok, and let the cabbage cook over medium heat for 3 minutes, or until it’s tender yet still slightly crisp. |
| Increase the heat to high and create a well in the center of the cabbage. |
| Pour the beaten egg mixture into the well you’ve created. |
| Stir-fry everything together for another 2 minutes, allowing the egg to cook and coat the cabbage. |
| Season the dish with freshly ground black pepper, to taste. |
| Serve your Vietnamese cabbage stir fry hot as a delicious and unique side dish or light meal. Enjoy! |
