Easy Garlic Rice Recipe

Ingredients:

Instructions:
- 
Saute Onions & Garlic: Related Articles- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add finely chopped onion and minced garlic cloves.
- Saute until they turn golden and fragrant.
 
- 
Cook Rice: - Stir in 1 cup of long grain rice, ensuring it gets coated with the oil.
- Pour in 2 cups of chicken broth.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme and 1 bay leaf for flavor.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.
 
- 
Simmer: - Cover the skillet with a lid and let it simmer gently for about 25 minutes.
- Occasionally stir the rice after 15 minutes to ensure even cooking.
- Continue simmering until the liquid is fully absorbed and the rice is tender.
 
- 
Finish & Serve: - Remove the bay leaf from the rice.
- Stir in 1/4 cup of freshly chopped parsley for a burst of freshness.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve the Easy Garlic Rice hot as a delicious side dish to complement chicken or any main course.

- Garlic Flakes Variation: If fresh garlic is not available, substitute with 2 1/2 teaspoons of roasted dry garlic flakes for a similar flavor.
