Ingredients:

  • 1 beef liver
  • 4 onions
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Paprika
  • Curry powder

Instructions:

Step Description
1 Cover the bottom of a very large skillet with olive oil. 🍳
2 Slice the onions into 1/8-inch thick slices and place them into the skillet.
3 Sprinkle 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp paprika, and 1 tsp curry over the onions.
4 Sauté the onions on low heat, covered, for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours, until they are caramelized and tender.
5 Meanwhile, cut the liver into 1 1/2 to 2-inch cubes.
6 Place the cubed liver into a plastic bag along with 4 tbsp flour, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp pepper.
7 Shake the bag to ensure that all the liver pieces are fully coated with the flour mixture.
8 In a clean skillet, cover the bottom with olive oil and heat it on high until it’s very hot.
9 Carefully place the liver into the hot oil and sear it on both sides until golden brown.
10 Season the liver with additional salt, pepper, and curry powder to taste.
11 Once the liver is cooked, add it to the caramelized onions in the skillet.
12 Gently fold the liver and onions together until they are well combined.
13 Serve the Beef Liver & Onions Curried hot and enjoy! 🍽️
