Ingredients:
- 1 beef liver
- 4 onions
- 4 tbsp flour
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Paprika
- Curry powder
Instructions:
Step | Description |
---|---|
1 | Cover the bottom of a very large skillet with olive oil. 🍳 |
2 | Slice the onions into 1/8-inch thick slices and place them into the skillet. |
3 | Sprinkle 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp paprika, and 1 tsp curry over the onions. |
4 | Sauté the onions on low heat, covered, for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours, until they are caramelized and tender. |
5 | Meanwhile, cut the liver into 1 1/2 to 2-inch cubes. |
6 | Place the cubed liver into a plastic bag along with 4 tbsp flour, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp pepper. |
7 | Shake the bag to ensure that all the liver pieces are fully coated with the flour mixture. |
8 | In a clean skillet, cover the bottom with olive oil and heat it on high until it’s very hot. |
9 | Carefully place the liver into the hot oil and sear it on both sides until golden brown. |
10 | Season the liver with additional salt, pepper, and curry powder to taste. |
11 | Once the liver is cooked, add it to the caramelized onions in the skillet. |
12 | Gently fold the liver and onions together until they are well combined. |
