Instructions:
-
Begin by preparing the ingredients. Peel and slice the ginger, mince the garlic, and dice the onions.
-
In the largest pot you have, combine the ginger, garlic, turmeric, diced onions, whole chicken, and vegetable bouillon cubes.
-
Generously cover the ingredients with water, ensuring they are submerged completely.
-
Place the pot over medium-high heat and bring the water to a gentle boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the mixture simmer for about 45 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
-
After 45 minutes, add the potatoes to the pot. Continue simmering for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and cooked through.
-
As the soup nears readiness, finely chop the fresh coriander.
-
Once the potatoes are done, stir in the chopped coriander and allow the flavors to infuse for a couple of minutes.
-
Serve the murag over boiled rice, ensuring each serving contains plenty of the flavorful broth, chicken, and vegetables.
-
Enjoy this comforting and aromatic Oriental chicken soup with your loved ones, savoring each spoonful of togetherness it brings.
