Crispy Indonesian Fried Chicken (Ayam Goreng Tepung)

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken, cut into preferred pieces
  • For the Marinade:
    • 5 cloves garlic
    • 3 candlenuts
    • 1 small piece turmeric
    • 2 tbsp coriander seeds
    • 1 tbsp salt

    • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
    • 1 tbsp rice flour

    • Water, as needed
  • For the Coating:
    • 8 tbsp all-purpose flour
    • 3 tbsp rice flour
    • 2 tbsp chicken seasoning powder

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade:

    • Grind garlic, candlenuts, turmeric, coriander seeds, and salt into a smooth paste.
    • Rub the marinade over the chicken pieces thoroughly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
