Malaysian Style Soy Sauce Chicken (Ayam Masak Kicap)

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces of chicken, cleaned
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 red curly chili peppers
  • 3 bird’s eye chili peppers
  • 8 green chili peppers
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sambal sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon chicken broth powder (optional, substitute with other broth powder if preferred)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:

    • Clean the chicken pieces thoroughly. Marinate with turmeric powder and salt for about 15 minutes. You can add a splash of lemon or lime juice if desired.
  2. Fry the Chicken:

    • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the marinated chicken until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
