7 If desired, dampen the top of the dough with a little milk or water and sprinkle with the extra coarse cornmeal for added texture.
8 Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
9 Bake the cornbread for 20-30 minutes, or until the crust is a beautiful golden color and the bread is cooked through.
10 Once baked, remove the cornbread from the oven and let it cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
11 Slice and serve the double cornbread warm with butter, alongside your favorite soups, stews, or chili. Enjoy!
