Grandma’s Fruit Cobbler Recipe ๐ฅง
Description: If there were one recipe that I could not live without, this would be it. It’s my favorite cobbler recipe that’s older than dirt. I suggest using plums, but peaches work just as well.

Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup cold water
- 2 cups of your favorite fruit (plums or peaches work great)
- 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions:

1 | Work flour and butter together in a mixing bowl until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. | 5 minutes |

4 | Roll out one half of the dough on a floured surface until it’s large enough to line the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking pan. | 5 minutes |
5 | Place the rolled-out dough in the bottom of the baking pan. | 2 minutes |
6 | Spread the fruit evenly over the dough in the baking pan. | 3 minutes |
7 | Roll out the second half of the dough and place it over the fruit filling. | 5 minutes |
8 | Pinch the edges of the dough together to seal the cobbler. | 3 minutes |
9 | Dot the top of the cobbler with small pieces of butter. | 2 minutes |
10 | Sprinkle sugar evenly over the top of the cobbler. | 2 minutes |
11 | Preheat the oven to 350-375ยฐF (175-190ยฐC). | 5 minutes |
12 | Bake the cobbler for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown. | 30 minutes |
Serving:
- Serve warm, preferably with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra indulgent treat.
Tips:
- You can use fresh or frozen fruit for this recipe. If using frozen fruit, thaw it first and drain any excess liquid.
- Experiment with different types of fruit according to your preference or what’s in season.
- If you prefer a sweeter cobbler, increase the amount of sugar in the filling or sprinkle a little extra sugar on top before baking.
- Leftover cobbler can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat it in the oven or microwave before serving.
