Spinach and Corn Sandwich Flavored with Sandwich Spread

Description: A delightful and nutritious sandwich perfect for kids’ tiffin boxes or as a snack for picnics and high tea. This sandwich combines the goodness of spinach, sweet corn, and a creamy sandwich spread, all sandwiched between crispy, golden bread slices.

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices Whole Wheat Brown Bread
  • 2 cups Spinach Leaves (Palak), blanched
  • 1/4 cup Sweet Corn, steamed
  • 4 tablespoons Del Monte Sandwich Spread
  • 2 tablespoons Salted Butter

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Blanch the Spinach: Begin by washing the spinach leaves. Add them to a saucepan with a little water and cook for about 2 minutes. Turn off the heat and allow the spinach to cool. Once cooled, finely chop the spinach and set it aside.

  2. Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, steamed sweet corn, and 2 tablespoons of Del Monte Sandwich Spread. Mix everything well.

  3. Assemble the Sandwiches: Take a slice of whole wheat bread and spread 1 tablespoon of Del Monte Sandwich Spread evenly over it. Next, generously spread the spinach and corn mixture over the bread slice. Top it with another slice of bread.

  4. Grill the Sandwiches: Heat a grill pan or a sandwich maker. Add the butter and let it melt. Place the prepared sandwiches on the grill and cook them until they turn crisp and golden on both sides.

  5. Serve: Once grilled, remove the sandwiches from the pan and cut them diagonally. Serve hot, with a side of Tomato Garlic Chutney and a cup of Masala Chai for a complete breakfast or snack experience.
