Aloo Broccoli Sabzi is a healthy and easy-to-make North Indian dish, perfect for a quick lunch. This dish combines potatoes and broccoli with simple spices, making it a nutritious addition to your meal. It’s also great for packing in your kids’ lunchbox!

Ingredients:

  • 1 broccoli, chopped
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon nigella seeds (kalonji)
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes
Servings: 2-3

Instructions:

  1. Start by cutting the broccoli into small pieces. Wash and dry them, then set aside.
  2. Peel and chop the potatoes as desired, and soak them in water to prevent browning.
  3. Steam the broccoli until it’s tender and set it aside.
  4. In a wok, heat oil and add the nigella seeds. Let them cook for about 10 seconds.
  5. Add the chopped potatoes along with salt and turmeric powder. Cover and cook until the potatoes are tender.
  6. Once the potatoes are done, add the steamed broccoli and cook for another minute.
  7. Turn off the heat and serve hot.

Serving Suggestion:
Aloo Broccoli Sabzi pairs wonderfully with Panchmel Daal and Phulkas for a complete meal. Enjoy!
