- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder

Preparation Time: 20 mins
Cook Time: 30 mins
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped spinach, boiled and mashed chana dal, oats, mashed potato, finely chopped onion, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, corn flour, asafoetida, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
-
Shape the Vada: Divide the mixture into small portions and shape them into round tikkis. Use your finger to make a small hole in the center of each vada for even cooking.
-
Fry the Vada: Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, gently place the vadas on the pan. Shallow fry the vadas until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side.
-
Drain Excess Oil: Once the vadas are cooked, remove them from the pan and place them on a kitchen towel to absorb any excess oil.
-
Serve: Serve your hot Spinach Oats Vada with a side of Coriander Mint Chutney or Kadle Chutney. It pairs perfectly with a cup of filter coffee.
