Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Sweet Potato (boiled and mashed)
  • 1 tablespoon Ajwain (Carom seeds)
  • 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • Salt (to taste)

Preparation Time: 25 minutes

Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Begin by boiling the sweet potatoes in a pressure cooker until they are tender but firm. Once cooked, peel and mash them using your hands or a ladle. For each cup of wheat flour, use 1 cup of mashed sweet potato.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the wheat flour, mashed sweet potato, salt, red chilli powder, ajwain, and cumin seeds. Mix everything thoroughly.

  3. Gradually add water, little by little, and knead into a soft, smooth dough. Cover the dough with a cotton cloth and allow it to rest for about 10 minutes.

  4. Once rested, divide the dough into small balls and roll each one into a round shape using a chapati roller.

  5. Heat a pan over medium heat and cook the rolled-out roti on both sides. Drizzle a little oil on the surface and cook until you achieve a light golden color. Flip and cook the other side until done.

  6. Once cooked, remove from heat and serve hot.
