Beef Soup Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg (1 lb) beef, cut into chunks
  • 3 carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • A handful of broccoli florets
  • 7 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 red onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon pepper (or to taste)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beef:

    • In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the beef chunks. Let the beef cook until it becomes tender, but not completely soft.
  2. Add Vegetables:

    • Once the beef is partially tender, add the sliced carrots and cubed potatoes. Continue to cook until the vegetables are tender and the beef is fully cooked.
  3. Prepare the Seasoning:

    • While the beef and vegetables are cooking, heat a small amount of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped red onions. Sauté until the mixture becomes fragrant and golden brown.
  4. Combine Ingredients:

    • Transfer the sautéed garlic and onions into the pot with the beef and vegetables. Stir well to incorporate the flavors.
  5. Season the Soup:

    • Add pepper and salt to taste. Stir and let the soup simmer for a few more minutes to ensure the flavors meld together.
  6. Add Broccoli and Herbs:

    • When the beef and vegetables are tender, add the broccoli florets. If using, add a handful of fresh herbs for added flavor. Let the soup simmer for a few minutes until the broccoli is cooked but still vibrant.
  7. Serve:
