Beef and Ginger Soup (Sup Sapi Jahe)

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 kg beef, cut into cubes
  • 1 carrot, peeled and sliced
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and diced
  • Spices and Aromatics:
    • 1 onion, finely chopped
    • 5 shallots, finely chopped
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 piece fresh ginger (about 1 inch), peeled and sliced
    • 1/2 nutmeg, grated
    • 1 cinnamon stick
    • 5 cloves

    • 2 stalks green onions, chopped
    • 1 stalk celery, chopped
    • Fried shallots (for garnish)
    • 1 tsp black pepper
    • 1 tsp salt
  • Broth:
    • Beef broth (or water as needed)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Begin by cutting the beef, carrots, and potatoes into bite-sized pieces. Boil each ingredient separately until tender. Drain and set aside.
