Recipe Instructions:

  1. Saute Meats: In a large soup kettle, sautรฉ the ground beef, sweet Italian sausage link, onion, and garlic until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.

  2. Add Ingredients: To the kettle, add the Italian-style tomatoes, beef broth, tomato juice, salt, dried basil, dried oregano, bay leaf, and fresh pepper. Stir well to combine.

  3. Simmer: Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

  4. Add Peas and Olives: After 60 minutes, add the sliced ripe olives and peas to the soup. Cook, uncovered, for an additional 10 minutes.
