Description:
This recipe is a result of my “let’s see what I can use up” kitchen experiment. Scouring through my freezer, I stumbled upon 4 sandwich steaks, a modest container of beef broth, and a handful of shredded cheddar. In the fridge, I uncovered a few mushrooms, half a green pepper, and a couple slices of American cheese. Blending these findings with some pantry staples, I concocted this skillet dinner, which has since become a cherished family favorite. It’s high time I whip up another batch of this delightful dish!
This skillet pasta pairs wonderfully with condiments typically enjoyed with steak sandwiches – for instance, I opt for A-1 steak sauce, while my dear husband prefers seasoned tomato sauce, and the kids have a penchant for ketchup. Alternatively, you can also prepare this dish using ground beef or venison, using approximately 1/2 pound of meat.
