Instructions

Step Description
1 Preheat oven to 450ยฐF degrees.
2 In a 2-cup measuring cup, combine vinegar and enough milk to make 14 oz. Let it sit for 5 minutes to sour the milk.
3 In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients: all-purpose flour, salt, baking soda, chopped rosemary, and chopped parsley.
4 Add the soured milk to the dry ingredients and mix together slowly by hand until a dough forms.
5 Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it to form an 8-inch circle, about 2-3 inches thick. This should only take about two minutes.
6 Place the dough in a baking pan of your choice.
7 Using a sharp knife, cut a cross pattern in the dough. The cut should go at least halfway into the dough and be the entire length and width.
8 Place the baking pan in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.
9 After 20 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 400ยฐF and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown.
